 The Recycle Depot Bins Will Accept

  • Mixed Paper - including office paper, windowed envelopes, shredded paper in clear plastic bag, newspaper, & fliers.
  • Cardboard & Boxboard - clean, flattened cereal boxes, egg cartons, milk & juice cartons.
  • Household Tin & Aluminum - clean aluminum containers, foil, tin cans & beverage cans. 
  • All recyclable plastics: #1 through #7 - pop bottles, milk jugs, soap bottles, rinsed food & drink containers.

 The Recycle Centre Will Not Accept

  • Non- Recycled Plastics including plastic bags, stretchable plastic and film plastic
  • Glass
  • Household Waste
  • Divertible Waste
  • Household Hazardous Waste
  • Organics
  • Bio Hazards

SARCAN offers the following additional recycling options such as:

  • Computer monitors, TV's, Vehicle audio systems, Telephones, computers, printers, speakers, laptops, & paint cans

 Grain Bags

4 Hire Welding accepts grain bags.  Grain bags can be dropped off at the farm site just North of town and must be properly rolled.  A roller is available for rent or hire if needed.

 Ecocentre

Located at the Eston and District landfill, the EcoCentre will accept up to 500 litres of used lubricating oil, 100 litres of used antifreeze per customer visit, plus up to 1 drum of used oil filters, as well as the plastic oil/antifreeze/diesel exhaust fluid containers.

Drop off is available anytime the landfill is open, and there is no charge to drop off.
